Hi,

Thanks for your article.

On my advice, it’s not necessary (and even, bad) to precise “Settings” > “Geographic target”.
It’s necessary (and useful) only if you propose a local service (as a restaurant).

In other cases, you musn’t precise it (above all, if you want to be seen in all english-countries language as United Kingdom, USA, etc for example).

So the question is : how to indicate language target otherwise ? with several sitemaps (one per language ?)

yeah great post we were having a argument about this here at our office, Google put a video out about this too here - - "Setting a geographic target for your site in Webmaster Tools " : Really a wise change for any brand with a international presence if you do not want to have local level tld's.

Thanks for writing this up! I’m about to internationalize the reviews section of my site (linked from my name), and I couldn’t figure this one out either. I kept looking in webmaster tools for a way to geotarget subsections of my site and was getting frustrated. I think it’s pretty un-intuitive that you have to add subfolders as separate sites, but whatever…

Lots of of bloggers not too pleased with the new iPad.There was just 2 much hype over it and alot people got turned off.You see, I actually see great deal of the awesome potential of this gizmo. Third-party applications for playing music, games, newspapers and magazine and FFS books, all kinds of neat stuff, but they failed to sell it very well (excluding the books). It looks kinda unfinished
